Principal's Message

Welcome to Wade Carpenter Middle School in Nogales, Arizona. We've earned a reputation for excellent teachers, a supportive community, and academic excellence. We serve sixth through eighth grades. We represent the growing Nogales Unified School District.

We take great pride in our dynamic school and in our vibrant community. We hope you enjoy our website. If we can help in any way, please call or stop by our school office.

A message from the Principal.

The first month of school was a busy month as we prepared for the rest of the year.  The students completed their first round of Galileo testing in English Language Arts, Math, and Science.  We are waiting to see the results and this will help our teachers plan for the rest of the month.
We presented our AZMerit data on Monday, August 26, to the NUSD Governing Board.  We shared with the Governing Board the areas where we had growth, and we also reviewed the areas where we need to show improvement.  The Governing Board and Superintendent expressed their support for Wade Carpenter and they want to see us continue to improve.
Our first Parent Council Meeting was held on August 29, at 5:30 p.m. in the Library.  We shared with the parents the positive feedback from the Governing Board and Superintendent (from the August 26 Governing Board Meeting).  I also shared with our Parent Council the work from our teachers on our new initiative-Capturing Kids Hearts.  Every teacher has developed a Social Contract that all the students must follow and we also shared with our parents the Social Contract developed by our teachers.  We invite you all to come and witness our Staff Social Contract in the office and all of the Classroom Social Contracts on display throughout the school.  We are excited about this initiative and we believe this will help us improve our relationships between our students and teachers.
This Friday, September 6, we will have a representative from Achieve 3000 (online reading resource) here to offer teacher training and support for our ELA Teachers.  We want to start as early as we can to make sure our students are prepared for the AZMerit in April.
