Principal's Message

Welcome to Wade Carpenter Middle School in Nogales, Arizona. We've earned a reputation for excellent teachers, a supportive community, and academic excellence. We serve sixth through eighth grades. We represent the growing Nogales Unified School District.

We take great pride in our dynamic school and in our vibrant community. We hope you enjoy our website. If we can help in any way, please call or stop by our school office.

Thank you parents for all of your support during the first month of school.  We are off to a great start and we are grateful for all of the parent involvement you have demonstrated.  Our Open House on August 18th was a success and all of the teachers were extremely excited with the interest you all displayed in your child's education.  In addition, we want to congratulate all of our students who have received recognition during our AzMerit Highly Proficient Breakfast on Friday, August 26th.  This breakfast was for our students who scored highly proficient on the AzMerit Math and ELA tests.  We also want to congratulate our Eagle of the Month students who were recognized by their teachers last Friday, September 2nd.  We have begun our online reading intervention resource, Achieve 3000, in our Library Computer Lab this week.  All of the students here at Wade Carpenter are going to Achieve 3000 during their English Language Arts classes.  This intervention resource is helping prepare our students for the Galileo and AzMerit tests.  In closing, we are excited about our new opportunity this year.  We are planning with Desert Shadows during our Early Release Professional Developments.  On August 31st we met at Desert Shadows, and on September 14th, we are going to meet here at WCMS.  Our math, science, social studies, and ELA departments are planning together and sharing instructional strategies that we all can use to help our students improve student achievement.
